The easiest way to do this is through the Cisco VPN AnyConnect app for Windows and macOS. It can be downloaded from the Yale Software Library: 1. Once installed, run the Cisco VPN AnyConnect app. In the first field, type access.yale.edu You should only need to do this the first time you set up the VPN on a device. Yale VPN (Virtual Private Network) is a way to securely access Yale's restricted services and resources on the University network from a non-Yale internet source. VPN is also required for remote access to on-campus workstations (via Remote Desktop Protocol RDP). The University recommends Cisco AnyConnect software to connect to the Yale VPN. The ITS-Med VPN service allows clients that are connecting to the Yale University network from a non-Yale Internet Service Provider (ISP) to appear as if they are directly connected to the campus network. This allows for access to resources and services that are restricted to campus connected computers with the exception of resources.

This online workshop is designed to help you make the most of your remote access to materials available through the Yale Library. Students attending this workshop will:

Yale Cisco Anyconnect Ipad

• Learn how to access online library resources using their NetID and password (EZProxy)
• Learn which resources still require using Cisco VPN AnyConnect to access from off-campus
• Learn when and how to use Scan & Deliver and book delivery services
• Receive general advice on where to go to find online library resources (e-books, journal articles, data sets, images, and more)

Audience: All current Yale students, faculty, and staff are welcome to attend, especially those working off-campus.
